FISH Benefits From a Food Steamer Too
Fish retains its nutrients when steamed – so this is a good way to go, since you’ll be able to HANG Onto the Omega 3 fatty acids found in most fish. In case you don’t know, Omega 6 is not truly beneficial (I’ll save this for another day).
Additionally, the fish is able to hold its moisture content as well as its flavor! Here are some favorite fish recipes of mine:
1) Lemony Steamed Fish recipe: You can use salmon, cod, halibut, red snapper for this – it’s from All Recipes:
Go here: Lemony Steamed Fish
2) Oven-Steamed Fish with Ginger And Olive Oil: This involves baking the fish in the oven (at 425 degrees). The flavorings it uses are cilantro, garlic, ginger, lemon zest, scallions, salt & pepper.

Wine Accompaniment: A Good Pairing for the Oven-Steamed Fish Recipe
A fruity wine with good acidity, such as the California Riesling, best complements the Asian flavors here.
It is easy to make small changes to your diet to help make you healthier – one way (that is not too complicated) is to purchase a steamer & use it. It was hard for me to get used to the idea myself – but now I am “steaming right along” (no pun intended) in my healthy cooking approach. I especially love broccoli, steamed carrots, brussel sprouts & steamed rice.
