Hi. I’m Jan Ashby and I once wrote an article for my HealthyKids site that touched on anorexia. Today I want to share a post about “OSFED” – which you may or may not know about. It’s an acronym for Other Specified Feeding and Eating Disorders.
Would you believe it is actually more common than bulimia or anorexia nervosa?
I selected this smart article as it does have some good diagrams (see #3 and #4 ). And it has an app you can use to record your thoughts & feelings about food – this is under #8, near bottom of the page.
Healthy Fruits as Servings of Dessert: Healthy Ideas
BY Jan Ashby
Hi. Today I want to share with you some specific posts on healthy eating. The first article shows you some ways you can use healthy fruits ..
For anyone interested in cooking shows, you really will enjoy this post. Culled from the TV show “Master Chef”, it is an in-depth description of the various participants (a.k.a. “Junior Chefs) and their aspirations; it tells a bit about every one of the 8 contestants.
It’s delightful how these young kids support one another – for instance, when one young chef (a boy) is critiqued for preparing a dish “too simple”.. well, the other kids rally around him and make him feel better.
It is a good show; I’ve watched and enjoyed it, and it scored a HIT among adults 18 to 49. Airing on Friday night it was a highly rated broadcast show, and then it moved to Tuesdays.
